Find out more about DT: DT Regula has traveled the world. She loves saving money on the road, but is essentially a hedonist who likes to avoid sleeping on prickly surfaces or sharing bathrooms. Her budget travel advice is designed to provide terrific values that also offer a great experience. |
Hawaiian Airlines is offering some special deals and savings that you won't hear about on the Internet or from your local travel agent - they only get sent to subscribers to their special-deal email newsletter.
While I hate to add anything else to my already-burgeoning mailboxes, I'm a sucker for this kind of thing if it is for any destination I might actually want to visit. And with Hawaiian tourism down this year, it's almost a sure bet that you can find a great discounted rate on a hotel. Local tours, special events, and those famous luau dinners may also be a bit more negotiable than before.
I have more natural resistance to the other promotion Hawaiian Airlines is offering - a US $100 e-certificate on future travel if you book a trip by December 12th for travel completed through June 4th, 2009. Seems I've let one or two airline vouchers go to waste by not using them before they expire (though it is always worth calling and asking if they can be extended or reinstated) - but if the thought of an e-certificate inspires you to take the trip, I'm all for it.
