TMZ.com reported that Pop icon Michael Jackson has died today after suffering a cardiac arrest.
The website reported that Jackson, 50, suffered a heart attack just after 12:00 pm (1900 GMT) local time. Paramedics were not able to revive him at his home after performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Jackson had been due to start a series of comeback concerts in London on July 13 running until March 2010.
Jackson had been spending the past two months rehearsing for a series of concerts that were to start in London on July 13th and run until March 2010. It is not known at this time if the strain of rehersal contributed to his condition. The promoters of the London concerts, AEG Live, commented that Jackson had passed a rigorous 4 1/2 hour physical exam.
Jackson's manager Tohme E. Tohme and officials at UCLA Medical Center could not be reached for a comment at this time.
