'New Moon' star Kristen Stewart's MTV Movie Awards look gets her best dressed for May 2009

The Twilight Saga: New Moon star Kristen Stewart, whose fashion choices have been a source of negative commentary in the past (see here, for example), has been placed at number one on the Teen Vogue "Ten Best Dressed" list for May 2009. Squeaking in with her look at the MTV Movie Awards (which took place on May 31st, the last day of eligibility, one might presume), Stewart's Yigal Azrouel frock (which she matched with a pair of Chuck Taylor sneakers, true to form) won her the number one spot for the month.

Stewart beat out Rihanna, Jessica Stam, Sienna Miller, Chanel Iman, Taylor Swift, Alexa Chung, Jessica Alba, Taylor Momsen, and Leighton Meester.

While her trademark look might be jeans and a knotted tee shirt, Stewart was able to purvey her self onto the red carpet with elegance and class. Congratulations to her for this deserved recognition.

Also, Stewart was recently photographed (stunningly, might I add) on the beach for Allure Magazine. Perhaps we shall see another award in store for these stunning photographs (Peace, Love, Twilight has more details on the shoot).
