The Quileute Tribe, a featured Native American tribe that is featured consistently in the Twilight series, and which has become a major subject in the motion picture The Twilight Saga: New Moon, has recently employed the use of a publicist to cope with their Twilight-related fame.
Says the Northwest News and Weather, "The tribe has hired Jackie Jacobs of JTalentgroup in an effort to spread the word about its tradition. The Quileute Reservation lies along the shores of the Pacific coast and the mouth of the Quillayute River, which begins just a few miles west of Forks."
We've already seen the impact that the Twilight series has had upon the locale of its fictional story - Forks, Washington. Prompting the legislature, the community, and the residents to act in one way or another previously, Twilight has certainly affected the area.
That said, it is no surprise that the Quileute Tribe might go to such measures to protect their heritage in the midst of its representation in the film(s). They are portrayed most heavily through the "wolfpack" - especially a main character of New Moon, Jacob Black.
So, can you think of any benefit that the tribe would receive from using a publicist in times like these? Comment below and let us know!
