'Twilight's Edward Cullen has a birthday Saturday, parties already in the works

Whether he's staving off ruthless vampresses or cuddling the sleepy Bella Swan, the Twilight series' leading vampire's every move is one to celebrate.

So, it's no surprise that in honor of Edward Cullen's birthday, which is this Saturday, June 20th, Twilight fans are making a day of it.

At least one party, it seems, is already being announced.

Says the Prince George Citizen,

Edward Cullen is turning 108 and costumed Twilight fans will celebrate the vampire’s birthday at the Prince George Public Library at a party held in his honour on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m.

"I'm really hoping that it's going to be a time when Twilight fans can come together and chat about what they love and I want people to come in awesome costumes," said Dawley. "I'm hoping for a spontaneous costume fashion show but I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed."

The crafts will be focused on vampirish things.

"We're going to be doing a couple of different crafts, one where you can make your own glitter gel," said Dawley. "Because all the vampires in Twilight glitter so that is called Glitter like a Cullen (the lead character's family name). We're also going to make our own Twilight-themed book marks."

There will also be a cake and games and trivia contests to test the TwiHards' skill.

In all likelihood, this is probably but the first of many Edward Cullen birthday parties that will take place this Saturday, as the character is one which - to say the absolute least - Twilight fans deeply appreciate.

Earlier this year, in celebration of St. Marcus Day, Twilight fans the world over adorned themselves in red to celebrate the occasion and sent their photos in to be featured in an article. The same can be done this time, so, if you are celebrating Edward Cullen's birthday be sure to send in your photos!
