The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Summit Entertainment's second book-to-film production of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series, has a lot to live up to when it comes to fan expectations.
This is especially true with regard to the successful translation of several important scenes in New Moon.
For instance, there's the "birthday" scene - a sequence in which Bella experiences both the continued joy of her relationship with Edward Cullen and the entire Cullen family and the intense fear of one particular member - Jasper Hale, that is. Jasper's sudden thirst for Bella stems from a tiny papercut that she receives from opening her gifts in the scene, and becomes an enormous problem for the continuity of Edward and Bella's relationship in New Moon.
Another scene that is crucial to the film is the resulting break-up of Edward and Bella. As devastating as it is to endure in the texts, it would be even more disappointing for the scene to be mishandled in the film.
Coming off of the break-up scene will be Bella's catatonic state in the woods, and strong Sam Uley's rescue as well. Following that, literal months pass by with Bella being consumed with misery, and it will be interesting to see how this is portrayed in the film.
So, which scenes are you most looking foward to seeing in The Twilight Saga: New Moon?
