'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' brings locals together

In order to be concise, the many, many e-mail alerts from local merchants in the Washington, Oregon, and surrounding areas have been consolidated into this one post.

So, if you're not a resident of a town within which some scene from Twilight was filmed or upon which the story is based, this article may not really interest you. Though, there is a bit about a Tampa event as well, to be fair.

For starters, fansite affiliates Twilight Novel Novice are going to be featured on Portland, Oregon's local "Better Portland" segment of "Better TV," and more information about their upcoming segment is available here.

Meanwhile, in St. Helens, Oregon, a mother/daughter duo of Twilight fans is bringing other fans togther for a four-day celebration of The Twilight Saga: New Moon's release. You can find out more about that here.

In Kent, Washington, where some of the Twilight stars will visit on one leg of the Twilight Hot Topic Tour Thursday, there is an on-going New Moon promotion for free midnight showing tickets here.

On the other side of the U.S., there is a fan masquerade event planned for this Friday in Tampa, Florida. You can check that out here.

Finally, in Seattle, Washington at the Sazerac Restaurant (at the Hotel Monaco) on Thursday, a Twilight look-a-like contest will be taking place in the afternoon (from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.). More information about that is available by contacting the PR person on point by e-mail.
