I got lazy last week, well not really lazy, just busy dreaming about the great puking scenes in movies I had seen over the years. But this week I'm back on the stick. Let's roll....

Brotherhood Season 2/DVD/2006/-Starring: Jason Issacs, Jason Clarke, Annabeth Gish and Fionnula Flanagan

What's my favorite show on television right now? Is it this one? This ho-hum named Showtime original series about crime and politics in Rhode Island? You better believe it is. That huge gaping hole left in my life after The Sopranos signed off for the last time has since been spackled over by Showtime's eerily good Irish family crime-drama Brotherhood. If I can turn one person onto this TV show I feel that my time spent creaming over it in this DVD column just might be worth it. If you haven't seen the first season Netflix it, immediately. Once you do see it, I'm sure you'll want to Netflix the freshly released second season. Showtime has now ordered a third season of this outstanding series, I can only hope there will be more, and that my Deadwood nightmares will finally quiet once and for all...

The Happening/DVD/Blu-Ray/2008-Starring: Mark Wahlberg, John Leguizamo, and Betty Buckley

Riddle me this Batman... Is there any other more beloved figure in film making that had the world by the nuts, who then went on to cheese-off all his fans with one unsatisfactory film twist, (that award goes to The Village)  and then botch some ridiculously overcomplicated children's bedtime tale, (oh Lady in the Water...) and then made a movie about a happening that never even happened? Actually I have no idea what The Happening is about, but I can only guess given M. Knight's latest polling numbers that it was the third bad Shyamalan flick in the Shyamalan Trilogy of Crap. To which I am forced to admit that I couldn't give a bigger rip, I've always liked Shyamalan's stuff. Most of it's extremely creative even if it does ultimately let the viewer down. Yes I hated every single micro-second of Lady in the Water, but I can't wait to see The Happening. There I said it.

You Don't Mess With The Zohan/Unrated Version/DVD/2008 Starring: Sandler, Turturro, and Chrigui

I didn't... Check that. I wouldn't see this in the theater last summer. I haven't seen a Sandler movie since Big Daddy. Maybe things have changed. I doubt it though, my little brother caught this flick last summer and "claimed" it's easily the worst movie ever made. His words. Not mine.
