Question: What is a Christian Worldview?

Answer: A Christian Worldview is the lense, preconceptions, the mindset, the attitude from which a Christian looks at the world and the goings on in the world. It's what the Christian thinks about when they read of a plane crash, a celebrity dying, a treasure being found or an injustice in the world.

CWE often touches on current events. The news does not escape notice.

Instead of shaking my head at the news and thinking, "Yup, there s/he, it goes again." I wonder to myself, "what does this happening remind me of in the Bible? What does the Bible have to say about this kind of event? What Biblical lesson can I learn here?"

My mind goes there a lot. It's the way I look at things. I am a Christian. It is my worldview.

I don't presume that all Christians will see or think about world events the way I do. And I welcome a different take than mine. Let me know.

Still the Bible is on my mind.

Deuteronomy 11:18-19 - "Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."

What do you think about when you read the news?

What is your worldview?
