Little singing phenom Connie Talbot has been competing in talent shows around the world at only 6 years old. She also has an album that went gold 3 weeks after it was produced, is in the Guinness Book of World Records and has been on popular TV shows, such as Oprah and Britain's Got Talent. Clearly Connie has some amazing talent and her parents are proud, and should be. Connie is just adorable!

I really enjoy watching children perform and excelling at things. It is great for their self-esteem. I do wonder how parents can set a balance between performing and being a child. Many child stars have fallen after too much too fast has come into their lives.

It is great that there are places for children to perform and show off their hard work and talent. As long as parents are involved and make sure that the children stay grounded and do not take off too fast, I think it can be a great experience for them. Possibly even start a life-long career for them if the right opportunities come along.

Oprah's Search for the World's Smartest and Most Talented Kids is coming to L.A.! Is your child a singer, dancer, or have a special talent to show off on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show'?
