The Michael Jackson Memorial at the Staples Center on Tuesday, July 7 will be covered byE! And E! Online. Coverage of the even begins at 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT. The coverage will be via a live feed, so fans .jpg)
can stay home and watch an event which may be unlike one ever seen before.
E! Online has reported that even though Los Angeles officials are cautioning fans not to travel to the Staples Cent unless they have ticket, they are not naive to the expectation that that fans will arrive anyway. The number of fans that may attempt to come into the area is a “great unknown.”
The funeral of Elvis Presley drew 75,000 and the funeral of Princess Diana drew 250,000. The LAPD are taking these numbers into consideration as they make plans for Tuesday's event.
People who do not have tickets will not even get into the area of the memorial, so they will miss the chance to watch the service live on television if they attempt to get near the Staples Center.
E! and E! Online are two available options to watch the service. Other networks that have said they will cover the event live include CNN, HLN, MSNBC and ABC.
E! Entertainment will cover the ceremony on its television network and its web site.
