CNN Larry King Lives tours grounds of Neverland

It is easy to understand why Michael Jackson was enchanted with Neverland Ranch in Los Olivos, California. The property in the Santa Barbara area had a magical look in the live broadcast from Neverland on the CNN Larry King Live Show on July 2, 2009.

Larry King was on site along with Michael Jackson's brother, Jermaine Jackson. Jermaine showed Larry King around that outside of the ranch and sat down for an interview. The interior of the house was shown by Miko Brando, a close friend of Michael Jackson.

Neverland is in the mountainous area northeast of Santa Barbara. The ranch is surrounded by trees. Most of the property is undeveloped and in its beautiful natural state. Jermaine pointed out the the beauty of the ranch reminded the family of the many places they traveled on their concert tours.

Jermaine showed Larry King a tree and explained that Michael would climb up high on a branch and think and write his songs. Jermaine talked about how the entire Jackson family found Neverland to be a place of sanctuary and peace. Jermaine also pointed out one of the mountains and said it was named Mt. Katherine, after Jackson's mother.

Miko Brando pointed out the area on the lawn where Miko had gotten married. Miko expressed that  he had very fond memories of Neverland, as it had been when Jackson was in residence.

When Jackson was in residence, Neverland was a festive place, with zoo animals and carnival rides; where children could play. The animals and rides have been removed from Neverland, but the property is still magnificent.

Michael Jackson found sanctuary at Neverland, but after he had been arrested on molestation charges he claimed that the property had been violated and that he would never return.
