Charlotte, North Carolina - Note: This event occurred back in February, 2009, and is just being reported at this time. Witness reported encountering a large circular object floating above Highway 16 on the west side of Charlotte, N.C. The witness was driving towards Huntersville when he saw the grayish object floating above the trees. The object was shaped like a flat disc, or acorn, and was floating above the trees on the right side of the highway (see sketch). The object appeared to be between 50-100 feet in diameter, and no more than 10-12 feet tall. When he drove nearer the object, the witness realized that the object was hovering without any suspension, and was partially over the highway and the trees. The witness could clearly see four lights on opposite sides, in a perfect X-formation on the bottom of the object, in addition to a hollow opening in the bottom, center. The outer skin seemed to be constructed of a grayish metal, with clear, straight seams in a seemingly symmetrical pattern. Across the bottom of the object appeared to be some markings that looked hieroglyphic in nature. In the center of the object was an empty black hole, like there was a middle cylinder removed from the structure. The witness further described not being able to detect any method of flight (i.e. propellers, engines, wings, etc.). As the witness passed under the object, he noticed that one of the light fixtures seemed to emit an intense cone of light similar to those that illuminate night construction on a highway, except much brighter. The light seemed to be held onto the object on two sides by small V-like metal structures, and the light could not have been larger than a typical 100 watt bulb, except it burned with great intensity. The center hole of the object was most peculiar as it seemed to ascend into the object into total blackness. The hole made up approximately 10-20% of the base surface ad was in the exact center of the object. It was at this time that the witness, feeling as though he was witnessing something he wasn't supposed to see, began to accelerate to get out of the immediate area.
Albuquerque, New Mexico - November 10, 2009 - A small plane had just passed over when the witness caught a glimpse of a large gray object moving north to south, and appearing to just miss the small aircraft. The witness described the object as being a large boomerang-shaped flying wedge, flying smoothly and silently across the dark pre-sunrise sky. it was dimly lit with three or four lights on each of the leading edges at the bottom of the object. The object was estimated to be traveling at an altitude of 8,000 feet, and its size was twice that of a Boeing 747. The object remained totally silent during the entire sighting. The witness also claims to be an ex-USAF weather observer.
Longmont, California - November 10, 2009 - Witness observed approximately six bright, flat objects stacked in a tight formation, one just above, and to the side of the next. None of the objects appeared to be moving, and were tilted at 20-30 degrees from the rest. The objects were just hanging there in a tight group. After approximately two minutes the lights disappeared in a quick instant.
