Oh Micki you're so fine

Here's what she and the station have to say:

"It’s ironic I’m coming to THE WOLF because Wolfman Jack is the reason I got involved in radio.  I grew up listening to Wolfman on the Armed Services Network and wanted to be just like him. I got my chance as a traffic reporter and a year later, I was given my first night show.  Radio is my life!” said Gamez.

“I am proud to have Micki join The WOLF’s World Class lineup of talent as she brings her dynamic winning attitude to the Bay Area,” said Scott Mahalick, THE WOLF’s Program Director.

Micki’s previous on-air work includes middays at Channel 95.5 (WKQI-FM) Detroit, Mix 94.7 (KAMX-FM) Austin, and was also heard in 27 other markets.  She has hosted local television specials in Detroit and Charlotte and her voiceover work includes the Radio Music Awards in Las Vegas.

“I was born in Austin, Texas, grew up listening to the legends of country, and can’t wait to share my passion for country music with the Bay Area,” said Gamez.

95.7 The Wolf’s lineup features Ken & Corey, along with co-host/Associate Producer Eddie King, every weekday morning from 5-10 a.m.  Micki Gamez (10 a.m. – 4 p.m.), Assistant Program Director & Music Director Keola (4-7 p.m.) and The Second Shift with Alan Kabel (7 p.m. – Midnight) round out the weekday Wolf lineup.

Nominated for a 2008 NAB Marconi Award for Major Market Station of the Year, 95.7 The Wolf launched on March 1, 2007 with 15,000 songs in a row and features core artists such as Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift and Toby Keith.  The Wolf’s market success has brought major country talent back to San Francisco, including Kenny Chesney at AT&T Park and Keith Urban at The Fillmore.
