MeetWays helps you find somewhere to meet that isn't the nearest Starbucks

October 12, 4:13 PM

MeetWays.com
Sometimes when you just want to chat with someone, you think, hm, where can we meet  between our respective locations? And somehow, Starbucks advertising and store placement has worked, and there you are with your $5 coffee.

This seems like a dilemma that the Internet could not provide a helping hand in, but ye have little faith.

MeetWays is a Web service site that takes two addresses and finds a point of interest in the middle. Point of interest types include restaurants, parks, hotels, coffee shops (yes, Starbucks is in there too if you can't get away), and more.

This way all of you have to worry about is getting there, and not $5 coffee (hopefully).

For more info: If you've got a good idea on how to make this even more interesting, e-mail meetways@gmail.com.

Quarkbase: the Facebook of Web sites

September 28, 6:54 PM
Every Web site I talk about as an Examiner is picked carefully. If I see a Web site with a really unique, interesting concept but poor design, it goes in the recycle bin of my brain. And then I permanently delete it. Sometimes we just don't know... Read More

Twitter: the new public poll system for the election

September 26, 10:27 AM
The poll system has a margin of error, and it also has a little bit of whack sprinkled all over it (especially when it comes to certain ::cough:: "news" stations). That's why when I hear one candidate or another is leading, I wonder just... Read More
