For many years people have wondered whether America was part of Biblical prophecy. The reason for this is that America is so large, influential and powerful. It is hard to imagine any major geopolitical event happening without the US being involved somehow. The heart of Biblical prophecy for the end times concerns regional and worldwide conflict and a powerful religious and political leader rising to international heights. This person will be the Antichrist. Some prophecy experts argue that the end time events will be centered in the Middle East and Israel and that the Antichrist will only come to power there. But even those teachers recognize that the conflict will engulf more than just the Middle East.

One of the battles that takes place in the Bible is between Israel and her enemies. The Bible tells us that no one will come to Israel’s aid but God. As Israel’s longest and strongest ally, many wonder how could the US not come to her aid? The answer to me is simple. America may be Israel’s biggest ally but we have left her to herself at times in the past and we could easily do so again, just as we seem to be ignoring Israel’s concerns about Iran now. Sure Hillary Clinton has promised to wallop Iran after they destroy Israel, but that’s really not very helpful to Israel after they have been destroyed.

Another speculation is that perhaps America is wiped out either completely or partially, by nuclear or EMP attack (which it has been said we are very vulnerable to) or maybe financially, like the financial collapse we seem to be going through now but only much worse.

In the beginning of the book of Revelation, Jesus spoke seven letters to seven churches in what is now Turkey. In most of those letters Jesus gave encouragement for what the church in those cities was doing right and warning or correction for things they were doing wrong. Jesus warned them that if the bad things they did continued they faced serious consequences. No matter how it happens, it could be that God has looked at America and seen our idol worship, our sexual immorality, our false teaching and many other sins and will judge America and remove her blessings before the major events of the last days take place.
