It's no wonder that Qwest Field went completely bonkers when Nate Jaqua tapped in the Sounders' first goal on Saturday night against FC Dallas. It was Seattle's first goal at home in over 100 days. July 11th the Sounders beat Houston 2:1 on a backflip goal from defender Patrick Ianni. October 24th the Sounders beat FC Dallas on a chip by Brad Evans. There were a lot of Qwest Field zeros in between. That's over now though, and we can flash back to last weekend with a big old grin on our faces as we contemplate the arrival of the Houston Dynamo this Thursday.
Here's a look back at Saturday's magic from two great sources. Rick Morrison is a doctor at UW, but he has shared some of the very best Sounders photos anywhere with us all season long. He's a fan with a touch for capturing the action. See a slide show of Rick's photos from Saturday below, and more of them at GOALSeattle.com.
Brent Geverink has posted his highlight videos on YouTube all season long. Below is Club 234's last regular season entry of 2009.
Thanks to the amazing Sounders FC fan network for the GREAT coverage of our new club this season. AWESOME!
