Killing Floor (a popular Unreal Tournament 2004 mod)  will get an updated, standalone release on Steam with Tripwire Interactive at the helm.

Similar to Left 4 Dead, Killing Floor sends enemy horde rushes to slow the player's advancement through the level. The updated title will offer 6-player co-op play, 9 different types of monsters and lots of different weapons for player's use.

Additionally, the game includes a perk system allowing players to create different strengths in their survivor using skill and ability upgrades.

No release date announced as of yet.
