Step outside for moment, and from wherever you are located face toward Washington, DC. Then inhale deeply.
Get a whiff?
That rank stench you smell is emanating from the White House.
Barack Obama handed to America's enemies, including dangerous Muslim terrorists, a complete, detailed list of interrogation techniques that are used to obtain vital information that saves American lives. This was after he promised on at least 3 different occasions not to delve into this matter.
But Obama's political base, which consists of the most extremist lunatic fringe-element Leftists in the country, wish to embarrass the administration of George W. Bush with the charge of engaging in 'torture.' Thus, the President decided that it is more important to make a decision for political reasons than to protect American lives and keep the country safe.
The terrorists can now train accordingly, thus avoiding the pitfalls of our formerly secret, classified techniques aimed at getting the truth.
Under normal circumstances this would be considered treason. It perfectly fits the definition of treason as described in the Constitution. But these aren't normal circumstances. Aiding and abetting America's enemies is now considered cool and patriotic.
Once we throw all the bums out of Congress in 2010 and impeach Obama as quickly as possible, he should then be placed under arrest and charged with treason. He has committed the one act that is absolutely unforgivable for a U.S. President.
In the coming days we are going to witness a massive smear campaign against the U.S. military, the CIA, and the Bush administration, complete with photos of the rare instances of prisoner abuse, which our nation adequately addressed with criminal charges.
Why rehash all of this now?
It is pure political expediency. They wish to bury their opposition. Obama and his extremist minions wish to marginalize conservative voices that support the use of enhanced interrogation techniques. Never mind that Nancy Pelosi, Patrick Leahy, and a host of other Democrats not only knew about but supported the use of these techniques, including waterboarding.
Americans should be given the opportunity to examine classified documents that show Congressional briefings on these matters, which of course would prove that Pelosi, Leahy, Kerry, and dozens of other Democrats were all there when these interrogation techniques were discussed. Yet there was nary a word of protest.
The standard by which the Bush administration is judged is the same standard by which Pelosi and company should be judged.
How much do you want to bet that they won't be?
