The iconic Don Featherstone pink flamingos that were all the rage when he created them in 1957 are currently out of production. But that doesn't mean you must forego the iconic lawn greeting. Hundreds of flamingo products beckon on the Internet for your shopping frenzy. Of course, as with all things in garden art, moderation is the key to good style. But a little bit of pink-think can brighten up a dull space--or a dull day.

Here are some of my favorite smile-generating pink flamingos for your yard.

1 - Exterior Accents does a new take on the gazing ball with a pink flamingo accented by acrylic beads and bronzed copper wire. $39.95. With a nod toward the traditional, this takes up the style factor a notch or two.

2 - Of course, I always include a little something for my feathered friends in my shopping lists. How about this pink flamingo bird house from Just Bird Houses? At $29.95, the birds can appreciate a little garden art as their summer home.

3 - This pink flamingo wind chime from Fish Lips Island Cargo would look just as pretty inside as out. And if there is a pink-loving little girl on your holiday gift list, at $25 this could be the time to start your holiday shopping.

4 - If there's a pink flamingo lover in your life, they probably need this Flamingo Crossing sign from (where else?) The Pink Flamingo. For $14.95, this bit of whimsy suggests more flamingos are about.

5 - While you're shopping at The Pink Flamingo, check out this pink flamingo garden light for $28.95. The light runs on four D-cell batteries that last for four months. The light comes on automatically in the dark. Daytime flamingos! Nighttime flamingos!

Who says garden art always has to be serious? Don Featherstone figured that out when he started all the rage 50 years ago. Now go shopping!
