What Tennesseans are see'in in the sky UFO-wise
[Tullahoma, Tennessee--3/16/09]
I especially wanted to report on this case from our TN MUFON files going back to March of this year because of a recent report released from the Air Force in Uruguay, South American about the findings of an ongoing study they have been conducting into how the UFO phenomenon has been manifesting in their country. The thing that really caught my attention in this report were the following statistics : Most UFO sightings occur in the early evening and 49% of them are illuminated glowing orbs.*
What follows is an account by one of the witnesses of the March of '09 sighting in Tennessee wherein you will see why I was reminded of this case when I read about the patterns of UFO sightings recently established by the Air Force study in Uruguay :
"Right after sunset my father and I witnessed a light about 1000 ft. up slowly move across the sky and over our home. I was out in the backyard when I saw what first appeared to be a plane coming over the treetops about 1-1/2 miles away. I'd never seen a plane come so low from that direction before and it seemed a bit strange looking because there weren't any navigation lights. I assumed I was at an angle where I couldn't see the navigation lights, but just the headlights. The light was white and bright and I could see no structure" [The young man continued to observe the light for a few more seconds and then ran into the house to get his father to come out and see it] "By that time the light had already moved above the house as it moved in one direction the whole time. As it passed over we never saw any navigation lights ; it was just a silent, slow-moving light about the size of a passenger plane though just a ball of light. [This ghostly sphere of white light continued on past them in a steady, smooth, straight trajectory until it passed out of sight in the direction of nearby Arnold Air Force Base.]
Though this particular UFO sighting is not one of the really dramatic, sensational kind that I like to report on, it is of interest because it illustrates what is apparently typical of UFOs seen in Uruguay. I will keep this in mind to take note of how many other Tennessee UFO sightings duplicate this pattern. By the way, if I had myself witnessed this UFO dusk rider in the sky, I would have been filled with utter astonishment.
