Hip-hop never fails to show love to its moms with caring tributes left and right. And with good reason. To hear rappers tell it, approximately 95% of them had dead-beat dads who were either abusive, absent, or involved in drug trafficking. But there are many rappers who rise above this stereotype and become great dads themselves. Some of them are so great, their children worship them and follow them into the world of hip-hop. Which isn't always the best of ideas but hey, it's Father's Day this weekend so cut the kids some slack and be happy they're showing their pops some love. Here are five father-son collabos that I ain't mad at:

Ghostface Killah & Sun God "Street Opera"

Nothing strengthens a family like sticking up train riders and hotel rats together. Sun God is definitely the best offspring on the mic which makes this the best father-son duo in hip-hop. Though it's just a little messed up that they flip a young Michael Jackson sample. Like saying, Hah, you wish you loved your pops like this, MJ!

GZA & Justice Kareem "Groundbreaking"

GZA flashes back to kicking rhymes in the school cafeteria, where his son plays the role of little GZA. It's kinda middling except for the line "I call my brother son 'cause he shine like one."

Trae & Lil Jared "Ballin Smashin"

This video is alternately precious and straight-up creepy. For all we know, Lil Jared really could be smashin' ho's already. The sexually-active age limit keeps getting younger and younger.

E-40 & Droop-E "Stewie"

Droop-E is a pretty dope producer in his own right and 40 definitely doesn't waste that talent. But here, Droop-E actually jumps on the track too. "Stewie" was supposed to be like the next evolution of hyphy but it didn't really catch on. I guess Seth McFarlane (and arbitrary pop-culture references) is not what's hot in the streets.

Prince Paul & DJ Paul Fresh as Negroes On Ice

Not rapping but still taking after his pops so I'll accept. You might remember Prince Paul as the other judge on The (White) Rapper Show (or you know, as the ground-breaking producer of De La Soul's first few albums). Together with his son, DJ Paul Fresh, they are Negroes On Ice!

Happy Father's Day!
