I posed this question to my MySpace friends list a few years ago, which has lots of horror fans and actors. It started a slightly heated debate.
The final word came from a man who should know. Ken Foree of the original "Dawn of the Dead." I won't tell you what he said. I want your opinion.
Here is my argument:
Zombies are not cannibals. When a human being is attacked by a zombie, he dies and comes back....as a zombie. Since he is a zombie and no longer human if he eats a human, he is eating another species. Zombies don't eat each other.
Important question
Now I know that there are horrible things going on in the world. However this is a very important topic for horror genre fans, (if it's not, it should be.) Step back from the news and the real horrors and chime in on this timely topic.
There are new zombie flicks coming out. Romero is working on one. And the darling of Cannes was a film entitled "Colin." It is a low budget Indie. It is a zombie movie from the perspective of the zombie and not the people the zombies are stalking. Also, the movie "Colin" was made on a budget of 70.00, seventy dollars. Yes, 70.00.
I haven't been able to see the film as it is not in general release yet. But studios are considering it.
Check out the trailer.
A movie from the perspective of the zombie could answer this controversy. In the meantime, what is your opinion? Cannibals or not?
