Every love story finally comes to an end. And so the real life love story of the famous on again, off again, couple - Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neal.
Farrah's role in Charley's Angels cast her into top celebrity status, as one of three high-powered and strong "angels. " Her flowing hairstyle created a following of thousands of women who wanted to look just like her.
She and her long-time companion, Ryan O'Neal, had shared many years of romantic excitement, friction and breakup - just like so many other couples. They shared a deep love for each other and for thier son, Redmond. However, also like so many other not-so-famous couples, they found they could not remain happy and romantic living together. Although Ryan had often proposed to her, again after her recent bouts of illness, they never did tie the knot.
Although they had spent much time apart and had not remained romanticlaly involved for years, her illness and the way she fought courageously once again touched Ryan's heart. He said that he had fallen in love with her all over again.
Farrah's death is a loss to so many of us who loved her image and style and sweet manner of being. Ryan and Farrah's return to love, as the time was slowly closing in on her life, is a strong reminder to all of us. Pay attention to the people who are close to you and matter most to you. Life and relationships are fragile. They can be over in an instant. All you will have left is your memories.
