Or, don't know where to go to get wholesome take-out?
Eat Local in Queen Anne is your answer!
Everything is Washington grown and all food is prepared on site at Eat Local. Food is frozen in glass pyrex or cardboard dinner trays. The only plastic is the lid for the bowl and the plastic film on the dinner trays! You leave a small deposit for the pyrex bowl and it's credited back when you return it. For those of you that are old enough to remember ilk in glass bottles, this is a familiar concept. Neat!
You can have small meals on site - order at the front and take it to their little cafe spot upstairs. I had their chocolate chip hazelnut cookies - yum! Ok, that's not quite a meal, but YUM anyway!
The owner, Gregory Connor, is really nice and was excited, of course, to hear that I'd be writing a review for them.
On top of food, they also carry an assortment of local artists crafting such as t-shirts, cards, and totebags. My gal Marlo of Tote 2 Go! now has her lovely super stylish and very eco-friendly totebags there too! All repurposed and remnant fabrics, washable and condensable into 1 small pouch!
Back to those of you who remember milk in glass bottles...Eat Local carries that too! :)
