Will it ever end, Sarah? (AP/Al Grillo)

Sarah Palin has accrued not less than 18 largely specious ethics complaints.  Incredible!

Read a synopsis of these complaints here:  http://www.adn.com/palin/story/838912.html

The only complaint that had any teeth was the repayment of hauling family around in the State's King Air.  Even then, that issue was argued in my family as to whether or not mom should be allowed to bring the kids to work.  Palin has agreed to repay the State over $10,000 in costs for transporting family.

Conservatives4Palin are trying to raise $500,000 for Palin's legal defense fund.  Kirsten Cole, a school mate and long time friend, is the person in charge of managing Sarah's recently established legal defense fund.

It has been widely reported, including here, that Sarah Palin has signed a book deal purported  to be worth over $1,000,000.  There is no doubt that will certainly pay for any legal fees.

14 of the ethics complaints have been dismissed!  That should tell what the bent of this attack is all about.  Governor Sarah Palin is under unprecented attack.  Never in the history of this State has any governor been so maligned.  Were the complaints regardign her performance, there is legitmacy to that area of criticism.  Enduring criticism over performance goes with the job.  The ethics complaints are largely much  to do about nothing.  Read the link above and see for yourself.

I feel sorry for the Palin family, but also know from experience that Sarah's proclivity to get down in the muck with her detractors just fuels the fire.

People need to look at her record to know there is no conservative in the office of the Governor of the State of Alaska.  There is a person who is incredibly adept at saying the right things and connecting with the people.

P.S.  I am still in Canada.  Should be back in Alaska early July.  Sarah Palin's trials have a large following in western Canada, largely due to the gas pipeline potential.--LDW
