Senator Edward (Teddy) Kennedy, Patrick Swayze, Ferrah Fawcett, Wayman Tisdale... and the list goes on -- celebrities dealing with, or having dealt with the challenges of cancer. Many people in our modern day culture are having to deal with the ravages of cancer in these times when we're recognizing how hard we've been on Mother Earth. The environmental and physical stresses combined with social, psychological, and emotional stresses are catching up with many of us, and cancer and other immune weakening dis-eases are running rampant in our times.
One of the reasons I wrote the book, The Last Adventure of Life, was to introduce some of the many complementary and integrative healing tools that are re-emerging and becoming recognized in our times. The seventh chapter of my book is all about meditation and includes many samples of how to begin meditating, and some examples of guided meditations that one can use to relax and become centered. The last chapter, chapter eleven, encompasses 30+ healing modalities that I came across in my professional and personal life. I am a healer at heart, and I want people to know that we have choices; there are many ways to heal from any dis-ease. In a sense, I've provided a smorgasbord of "alternatives" for people to consider when facing a debilitating illness.
The following is a list of some of these healing modalities that I've shared in my book. In the following days, I will share more about these and help you seek out new approaches to health, wealth, and happiness -- no matter where you are in life and what degree of balance in body-mind-spirit you find yourself.
Acupuncture, Aromatherapy, (Healing through) Art, the Breema Center, Chiropractic, Dan's Enhancer, Diet (need to alkalize), Dr. Lorraine Day, Dr. Robert Jangaard, Essiac Tea, Guided Imagery, The Healing Codes, Hypnotherapy, Jin Shin Jyutsu (Acupuncture)... and the list goes on.
The most recent mode of healing that I've discovered is the Heart Wall Healing that I've learned about through the Japanese magnetic company Nikken and the chiropractor turned heart healer, Dr. Bradley Nelson. Please see the many resourceful links on my website for more information at this time. And watch my next entries here for more on any of these healing modalities. They are bound to assist you in your wholeness, balance, and body-mind-spirit health!
My prayer is that we open up to all that is out in the world to bless and guide us through these tumultuous times of great learning opportunity, Dancing heart~~~

p.s. If you are looking for a unique gift (for the soul) for someone dealing with cancer, grief, or stress of some kind, please consider my Soul Baskets -- and healing tools -- as a possibility.
The above photo is what a Soul Basket, using a Japanese style furoshiki as the basket, looks like. Furoshiki were originally created to hold and carry gifts. Today, they are used commonly in Japan for the purpose of carrying things, and are one of the greenest and simplest methods, as they basically entail a square piece of cloth of various dimensions and grades of cloth, depending on what they are used to carry. The photo to the left shows the contents of one of my sampler baskets, the Serendipity Basket. The furoshiki is on the right top, with the geta motif.
Please send me your comments and questions. I'll read them all and do my best to answer your questions and focus on the topics you'd like to hear more about in the future.
