Recording solo again, Brady Seals will bring his latest sound to the TV sets of cable-subscribing locals at 4 p.m. July 4 when he visits Channel 5+'s Words & Music program, with host Harry Chapman.
Now recording for the StarCity company, Seals will guest on the program that's billed as a "showcase for Nashville’s songwriters” to help introduce music from his forthcoming CD, Play Time, which is set for an Aug. 18 release at this writing, and it's initial single, "Ho Down."
Also during the upcoming program, Seals will revisit some of the hits he was part of during his early music career with platinum-selling group Little Texas, whose four remaining members are now on their 20th anniversary tour.
Prior to his latest CD and Little Texas history, Seals released three solo records in the 1990s before founding and fronting Hot Apple Pie, a quartet that managed to land a No. 26 tune on the charts, "Hillbillies."
And for those who just can't make the 4 p.m. broadcast debut, per the Words & Music online site, the show will air once more at 11 p.m. July 4 and at 3 a.m. (yes, a.m.) and 4 p.m. Sunday, July 5. This scribe advises Seals fans to be on the don't-miss-it side of things, however, and shoot for viewing the initial broadcast just in case programming times have changed but the site's not been updated.
