People started to show up at the gathering before it was even fully set up at around 8:45AM. I would say at least 150 people stopped by between 9AM and 10AM and most of them were there for when Anna Spoke at about 9:30. You should have heard the cheers when she started to talk. You could tell that many people there really felt for her and wanted to make a difference. There were all sorts of people there from all over the area. There was a great vibe there. Zach's mother cam all the way from Frederick to be there.
Flyers promoting a Fire Burns press conference/rally were being handed out all over the market. The event will take place at noon on Thursday in fron of the Mitchell Courthouse at 111 North Calvert Street.
The only public official who showed up was Steve Fogleman, the head of the liquor board.
Melody Simmons was there and she has already posted this article at the Daily Record. The Sun had a reporter there, channel 45 was there, and some other media outlets that I just do not remember.
Will this all make a difference? I can say that if the Mayor of Baltimore said anything about all this that this probably would be all over pretty soon. Anna encouraged everyone to keep emailing the Mayor and the City Council.
Of course there is State's Attorney Patricia Jessamy, or should I say Pharaoh Patricia Jessamy. The Pharaoh clearly has a hardened heart and she refuses to give in to the will of the people. Will the Pharaoh let Margaret Burns go after she is further shamed on Thursday? Time will tell.
Keep checking this website for more photos and videos from the event.
