Stella McCartney proved that even first-rate fashion designers can make blunders when choosing what to wear to events.
The UK fashion maven joked that women should steer clear from wearing a micro-mini when taking to a stage, after she was named one of Glamour Magazine's 2009 Women of the Year: "Ladies, girls, never wear a skirt this short if you accept an award... don't do it".
Former Beatle Paul McCartney's daughter was presented with the award from another remarkable woman, the late John Lennon's wife, Yoko Ono.
Another honoree to make a fashion statement at the event was Bajan-born beauty Rihanna - the magazine's December cover girl - who looked stunning in an ivory Stephane Rolland mermaid dress.
