Foosh mints are a godsend to those of us who crave all things caffeinated. DEElicious, gives a great high-flying buzz, cool packaging and makes your breath minty in the process! I know I sound like an ad or PR person (I don't get any compensation for my over 350 reviews, except the joy of trying fantastic products like this one). Just writing about these chunks of high - buzz mints makes me want to pop another in my mouth. Remember NoDoz or Vivarin? These are all low class punks when compared to the new superhero energy mint on the counter.

Jason Kensey spent 3 years in development on these little lightning bolts - working on how to keep the great taste of mint while still keeping the caffeine dose high. The spent quite a lot of self invested money and time in development of what seem to be, a truly fantastic thing. These mints taste like, mints. Nothing unusual or mind blowing - except that for all the caffeine, there is a very slightly bitter medicinal flavor that does not affect the minty aftertaste. You could tell time was taken to keep the candy nice and sweet, while still full of the right stuff.

I have tried this on road trips - I tried this under heavy narcotics - I even tried 3 of these at one time, and the effect is always impressive and almost immediate. In less than ten minutes you feel the 100mg of caffeine coursing through you. If 100 is not enough, just pop 2 in your mouth (though not at the same time - that is like dropping 3 altoids) and get the buzz of slugging down 2 cups of coffee in 30 seconds.

There have been other caffeinated mints on the market - from big hitters like Hershey's (Ice Breakers), and products which have been around for much longer (Penguin Mints have been on the market for many many years) but none have provided a boots this strong and still taste so good. The candy is very expertly packaged in both blister packs (so they don't break apart) and tins that are easy to fit in your pocket. They list on their packaging that they have 25% more caffeine than a can of Red Bull.

As for nutrition and buzz, unless this is made with actual babies blood it rules. Turns out, while not necessarily being healthy, it is better for you than your average Brachs. They use a sucraslose/Ace-K sweetening blend to keep things tasty, without the high calories of the usual candy sweets. They use Natural Peppermint Extract along with their energy blend of Taurine, Ginseng and vitamins. While this migt not replace your morning can of energy drink or your trips to Starbucks, for people on the go this product will keep you going for a long long time.
