When will our cops understand Open Carry is legal in Wisconsin?
County Sheriffs need to tell the local police chiefs that OPEN CARRY is LEGAL! SOMEONE needs to do this! OUR GOVERNOR says open carry is LEGAL!
NO one is listening. NO ONE is speaking out- not our Governor- not our County Sheriffs! Sheriffs have more power than local police chiefs. Think Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff, Joe Arpaio.
In the meantime Wisconsin resident, Jesus Gonzalez will go to court against West Milwaukee for wrongful search and seizure when he was wrongfully arrested for open carrying in a Walmart store. His gun was in a thigh holster, in the open. Perfectly legal.
Guess what! He hadn’t robbed the store or anyone in it! He was just open carrying his gun.
It’s understandable that citizens may not know the law regarding open carry but the cops should by now know Jesus was within his rights in Wisconsin. It’s in our constitution.
Recently, I heard a comment that Americans are becoming numb to gun violence. Everyday we hear of more family gun violence. All the anti-gun rhetoric in the world, and all the anti-gun laws in the world will not stop this.
Tough times happen. People think the current gun violence is caused by tough times, yet the rate of said violence is lower now than the last economic strife. Interesting. This comes while we have a nationwide increase in gun ownership!
