American gun owners raise funds to defend open carry rights in Wisconsin

Just when everybody thought it was Springtime for gun rights in Wisconsin's carryland,  it looks like we have another case of an elected official playing political games with the peoples' rights - that game is well known and goes by several names, including "I'm a gun owner too, but," and "I support the Second Amendment too, but."

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinal reported yesterday that

"Ted Jarosh, who describes himself as a strong defender of the right to own and legally carry guns, said last week he will ask the city attorney Tuesday whether the city could classify certain acts of so-called open carry as disturbing the peace.
Jarosh cited a case from earlier this year in which a West Allis man was ticketed for carrying a gun in a holster while working in his yard. Police issued a ticket, but a judge dismissed it.
"I think that if you carry a firearm to mow your lawn - unless you fear polar bears or pterodactyls are going to attack you - you're disturbing the peace," Jarosh said."

The open carry community has responded below by re-doubling efforts to raise money for pro-gun radio ads to attack Alderman Jarosh's bigoted views.  Gun owners across the United States are now rallying to come to defense of America's carryland in Wisconsin by giving money at http://www.opencarry.org/carryland.html.  See also the Open Carry Movement facebook group message below.

Subject: NATO Doctrine in Effect:  OC rights in Wisconsin under attack!

Just when we thought things were settlin' down in Wisconsin's carryland, Milwaukee [County] Alderman [in St. Francis] Ted Jarosh announced he wants to force gun owners to stay in the closet by passing a new stricter disorderly conduct ordinance!

Today John Pierce updated our Operation CarryLand fundraising page at http://www.opencarry.org/carryland.html to show us having raised $680 so far, not bad, but we need to shoot for $5,000+ overall to run radio ads around Wisconsin, and first we need $1,500+ just to blast Greater Milwaukee & target Milwaukee [area] Alderman Ted Jarosh's nutty idea.

Great News though - we now have an anonymous $500 matching donor - he/she will match up to the next $500 in contributions.  So please all on this list, give tonight at http://www.opencarry.org/carryland.html by credit card - nobody needs to be a pay pal member to give.  $10 or $25 is great - but if you or anybody you know has $100 or more to give, now would be the time to strike!

Also hit your email lists and friends and family - we need to move fast!!

NATO doctrine is in effect for residents of all states - an attack on one gun owner, is an attack on all gun owners!

So PLEASE give now at http://www.opencarry.org/carryland.html.
