Buy local is the theme for Miracle on Main Streets, the only citywide Main Street holiday event in the country. Their mantra ‘do it all without the malls’ brings people back to their neighborhoods, creates community spirit and a better economic base for their families. Whether you live in any of these neighborhoods or not, there are tons of events going on for the entire family kicking off tonight and here is the schedule.

Fells Point main street offers Breakfast with Santa at Shuckers on December 6th and a cooking demonstration at Broadway Square at 3:30 p.m and the Great Cake-Off with celebrity chef, Warren Brown at 4:30 p.m..

Aaah, you don’t want to miss Hamilton-Lauraville neighborhoods Holiday Spirits Pub and Restaurant Crawl tonight, December 5th or if you can’t make it tonight, come back tomorrow at noon when they are doing it again. Sample the neighborhood cuisine-all those restaurants you’ve been reading about – 18 of them. An added bonus is the live music and carolers.
Whether you live, work or are neighborhood curious, this is a fabulous time to see the sense of community pride and enjoy the foods of each neighborhood whether Waverly, Brooklyn, Belair-Edison, Pennsylvania Avenue, East Monument, Federal Hill, and Highlandtown.
