The beloved children's book "Where The Wild Things Are" is a staple for any child born from the 1980s on.
Max, the main character, and his band of imaginary friends - who happen to be very wild things - have held a place in the hearts of millions of readers, and now their fans will be able to see them brought to life on the big screen.
However, with such a devoted following, the translation of the book to the big screen has been the subject of much speculation. Is it even possible to make it look the way it did to those of us who imagined it as children? Would it be cheesy or over the top?
If the trailer is any indication of the movie, I, as a fan of the book, have to say it looks pretty dog-gone good!
When the trailer hit the web, it made a huge splash, and it continues to grow in popularity. Is this a sign of a sure-fire hit, or is it just passing curiosity? Only the box office results will tell when Where The Wild Things Are lands in theatres October, 2009.
