Beginning next Thursday, the second World Baseball Classic will begin play with sixteen countries divided into four groups (Pools). Teams from the sixteen countries are made up of professional players - either from our Major Leagues, or professional leagues in some of those countries (like Japan and Mexico), and even some amateur (mostly college) players.
