Two Atlanta restaurants want to show their appreciation to those who have served our nation and now they want to serve them. Check dates below.  Also, check out other restaurants below for additional freebies on that day. To all our Veterans and those serving – God bless you and thank you for your commitment to the freedom of America.   Remember women are Veterans, too. PS: You can bring the folk; but they will have to pay.

Here are all the details on two great free meal offers for Veteran's Day:

1. Free meal at Applebees. http://www.applebees.com/vetsday/
 
All vets and active service members can choose one of six meals free on November 11, 2009 (beverages and gratuity not included) simple by showing proof of military service.
Accepted identification includes U.S Uniform Services ID card, U.S. Services Retired ID card, current Leave and Earnings Statement, a photograph in uniform, wearing a uniform and a citation or commendation.

2. Free meal at Golden Corral. http://www.goldencorral.com/military/
 
Golden Corral will host a free "Thank You" Dinner on its Military Appreciation Monday for all active and retired service members.

The dinner takes place Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m
.
Other freebies on Veteran's Day: free doughnuts at Krispy Kreme and a free Bloomin' Onion and drink at Outback Steakhouse.

Lowe’s and Home Depot offer a 10% Discount to Vets and Active Military
