The 2009 Emmy nominations were announced Thursday morning and it wasn't pretty for "Ugly Betty," witrh just two nods. One of them went to Vanessa Williams for her supporting role as Wilhelmina Slater and the other was for costume design, which was a no-brainer considering the show is about fashion.
"30 Rock," on the other hand, cleaned house with 22 nominations. No other show broke the 20-plus barrier, but three were in the teens: The made-for-TV movie "Grey Gardens," starring Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange, got 17 noms, followed by "Mad Men" with 16, "Into the Storm" with 14, and "Saturday Night Live" with 13.
