The craziest reality show these days is not on TV. It's the Samantha Ronson vs Lindsay Lohan family feud, complete with yelling, screaming, girl fights, hotel-room Twitter battles, rehab, drugs, bouncers, locksmiths, and meddling in-laws trying to get restraining orders.
Sam and Linds have had their share of public problems, but their families also are well on their way to being inducted into the Hollywood Nut Job Hall of Fame.
BAD BEHAVIOR
Lohans: Michael Lohan — whose '"celebrity wrestling match against a local radio host ended in a low-blow disqualification at a Ramada Inn in Philadelphia on Monday night — set the pace last year by dissing Sam to anyone who would listen. He then humiliated his entire family by admitting to the media that he had a child by another mother while he was married to Lindsay's mom, Dina Lohan. He also accused Sam of using Lindsay to get more gigs at higher fees.
Ronsons: Charlotte Ronson got the ball rolling for Sam's family by hiring body guards specifically to keep Lindsay out of her Bar Marmont "I Heart Ronson" party where Sam was spinning last weekend. Lindsay and Dina had a room at the hotel there, just below the Ronsons' suite. Both accused the other of staying there to annoy them.
On Monday, Sam's mother, Ann Dexter-Jones, got in on the act, going with Charlotte to the Beverly Hills Police Department to try to get a restraining order against Lindsay. Talking loud enough for everyone around them to hear, they said they were there because Sam wants to "send a message" to Lindsay. Sam was not even present. Still speaking loudly, Ann accused Lindsay of taking drugs and cutting herself.
We'll spare you any more details. You get the idea.
GOOD BEHAVIOR
Lohans: To the Lohan family's credit, Dina has never dissed Sam. In fact, she has embraced her publicly. Lindsay has always fought bitterly against her own father to defend Sam. She also has defended Sam vigorously against critics who have pointed out that Sam's DJ fees increased exponentially with Lindsay's presence. And she has consistently supported Charlotte's work.
Ronsons: To the Ronson family's credit? Until recently, they have remained silent. But Sam has never gone out of her way to defend Lindsay against critics.
We have to say, both of these families seem like nut jobs, but at least some of the Lohans have gone to great lengths to show their loyalty for Sam.
