After just 10 weeks of injecting steroids, former Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Dan Clark gained 32 pounds of muscle. But after 20 years of using the drugs — when he was Nitro on "American Gladiator" — he also got shrunken testicles, major man boobs and dull throbbing pain during sex.
Page Six reports that Dan's tell-all memoir, "Gladiator: A True Story of 'Roids, Rage and Redemption," reveals that his breasts got so big he had to have reduction surgery. Dan writes in his book:
Bitch tits, man boobs, breast-chesticles is what they're called on the street. Gynecomastia is the scientific name. No matter what you call it, I [had] it. I hate[d] taking off my shirt."
The good news is, Dan finally quit doing steroids, got some therapy, and is now a consultant on the new "American Gladiators."
Amazon.com will ship "Gladiator: A True Story of 'Roids, Rage and Redemption" Feburary 10.
