Carrie Prejean is far from alone in Naughty Beauty Queen land. Miss England Rachel Christie relinquished her crown Friday following her Monday arrest for allegedly punching Miss Manchester Sara Beverley Jones in the face during a bar brawl.
Apparently not everybody loves a girl fight.
The BBC reports that Miss England, the first black woman ever to wear the crown, got into it with Miss Manchester over Miss Engalnd's boyfriend, TV gladiator Tornado (AKA David McIntosh), who may once have been Miss Manchester's main squeeze.
It gets better.
The alleged assault occured during a costume party at the Mansion Club in Manchester, according to Sky News. Miss England was dressed as an angel, while Miss Manchester was dressed as a cave girl. The angel and the cave girl came to blows over the gladiator. (He's a Royal Marines Commando who has served in Afghanistan, Northern Ireland, Somalia and the Persian Gulf. He has been arrested more than once for bar brawls.)
You can't make this stuff up.
Miss England is out on bail until January. She gave up her crown and will instead focus on training for the 2012 Olympics, where she hopes to represent her country as a heptathlete. (Her uncle is former Olympic gold medalist Linford Christie, who still holds the British record for the 100-meters sprint.)
It is not yet known who will replace her in the Miss World pageant, which will be held in Johannesburg, South Africa on December 12.
