
Kudzu is an amazing plant. If you have ever been to Mississippi then you have seen this green vine growing everywhere here.Kudzu grows over everything in it' s path including trees. It is the plant that ate the south. The state of Mississippi has classified Kudzu as an invasive plant species.

Kudzu is being studied for it's antimicrobial and anti inflammatory agents in one of it's isoflavones.Kudzu isoflavones has known anti-cancer and anti-leukemic agents . It is being studied in the United States for Ethanol production possibilities. Kudzu would be an excellent source of biofuel. It clearly grows quickly and has no known pest or disease conditions . The southern states of America have the perfect climate for it to grow. Kudzu is an ingrediant in some southern made soaps. In some places in the world it is a food source as well. Who knew that the vine that ate the South would turn out to be be such a useful plant.
