This December, Neversoft will be bringing some of the biggest names in pop to the Guitar Hero series by way of downloadable content. From Taylor Swift to OneRepublic to even Guitar Hero cult legend, Steve Ouimette, there is something available for everyone.

Starting off the month will be a three pack of punk metal band, The Fall of Troy, who were responsible for the Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock bonus track, "F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X.". The Fall of Troy recently released their latest album, In The Unlikely Event, which features all of the tracks that will be available in the upcoming pack.

The following week, Neversoft will release a three pack from hit pop group, OneRepublic. They, too, have recently released an album, Waking Up. Two of the songs come off of that album, while one of the songs in the pack comes off of their hit debut album, Dreaming Out Loud.

Following Neversoft's love for Indie Rock, the next week will feature an Indie Rock three pack. That week fans will be treated to songs from Nada Surf, Spoon and Pavement.

After that week, Neversoft really unloads the big names as they bring fans the "Celebrity New Years Rock Track Pack" as well as a free song from guitarist extraordinaire, Steve Ouimette. The "Celebrity New Years Rock Track Pack" features hit singles from the likes of Taylor Swift, Maroon 5 and No Doubt. Guitar Heroes will also be treated to a free rock/metal version of the Christmas classic, "Hark the Herald Angels Sing", performed by Steve Ouimette, who was responsible for the monster that was "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" in Guitar Hero III. The releasing of a Christmas classic redone by Steve Ouimette is reminiscent to 2007, when Ouimette's version of "We Three Kings" was released for free download to Guitar Hero III.

All the tracks will be available for play in both Guitar Hero 5 and Band Hero.
