Arizona asserts States Rights on health care reform
Doctors who do not want to practice medicine under Obama's nationalized health care reform may find a haven in Arizona and make it one state with plenty of available medical care.
Next year, Arizona voters will decided whether its residents will be subject to the mandates in Obama and the Democrats health care reform.
The Arizona Legislature has introduced an HC2014, an initiative if passed, would amend the state constitution so that no resident would be required to participate in any public health care option. The initiative will be on the ballot in November 2010.
Arizona State Rep. Nancy Barto, a Republican, said
HCR2014 is proactive and will protect patients’ fundamental rights.... statement. We are a front-line battle state to stop the momentum of this powerful government takeover of your health care decisions. Health care by lobbyists thwarts your rights and can be stopped here.
According to Christie Herrera, director of the Health and Human Services Taskforce:
“The eyes of the nation will be on Arizona next year to see what happens....If this succeeds in Arizona, other states will take notice and push harder.
