Current Chicago Red Stars president and CEO Peter Wilt is joining the Milwaukee Wave of the National Indoor Soccer League. It was first posted by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Don Walker on Tuesday morning.

An afternoon press conference is set for Wednesday afternoon to make the formal announcement. Wilt will take on the position as the Wave's president and CEO.

Wilt's soccer ties to the Chicago-area community are well-known. He is a McHenry, Ill., native, graduated from Marian Central Catholic High School (Woodstock, Ill.) in 1978, was general manager of the Chicago Power of the National Professional Soccer League, was general manager of the Chicago Fire and then helped with the launch of the Chicago Red Stars of Women's Professional Soccer.

More official information regarding Wilt's venture with the Wave will be available Wednesday at ChicagoRedStars.com and MilwaukeeWave.com.
