ITC Chino 12 weights and 2 styles

Fonts.com sent word of a new font release saying, "With two styles and twelve weights, the ITC Chino™ family is distinctive, versatile and available as OpenType® Pro fonts. This new family from Hannes Von Döhren and Livius Dietzel is sure to become an important design tool."  The ITC Chino Font Family is looking good I must say, let's look a little deeper...

I've included the twelve weights here in image for examination.  If you start your count from the top you'll view each of the twelve.  But then I wondered, "what are the two styles?"  After all, the ITC Chino offers alot.  The two styles are "thin and ultra". The ITC Chino Display Ultra is probably destined to fancy most websites and brochure designs.

The designers Döhren and Dietzel meant to give us an urban city flavor.  But at the same time its a look that can cross over to almost any profession.  We can thumbs up to this for a hit and not a miss.
