NOAA website page that questioned CO2's effect on global warming was deleted
A page on NOAA's National Weather Service website that
questioned CO2's effect was deleted after it was discovered.  The
site previously said "there is no evidence that it is causing an
increase in global temperatures.”

It only took two days for NOAA and the National Weather Service to pull a webpage on their site that questioned whether carbon dioxide truly was a contributor to climate change. On Monday we reported about the page that was part of an online lesson series about the atmosphere. Today the page has mysteriously vanished.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is the United States government’s big player in the debate over anthropogenic global warming. The science service advocates heavily for the belief that man – and CO2 – are the primary drivers of climate change and derives a great deal of its funding based on that assumption.

The discovery of an online lesson on a NOAA website that said “there is no evidence that it is causing an increase in global temperatures” was big news. Less than 48 hours later that page has now been entirely removed.

The Climate Change Examiner suspected NOAA would remove the page once its existence was brought to light so we captured a PDF of the page and you can view it below. You can also click here to view Google’s cache of the page.

Why NOAA chose to remove the page which had been updated quite recently is unclear. Was the offending page an ‘inconvenient truth’ that the management of NOAA did not approve of? Questions submitted via email have gone unanswered.
