Is Rachel McAdams the Black Cat in Spider-Man 4?

Yep. It's definitely about that time for the Spider-Man 4 casting rumors to start flying. If any of the past movies are indicators, it will still be a long while before any real casting or villain news is confirmed by Sony, but for now, we'll take what we can get.

There has been a lot of speculation lately that The Lizard will be the main protagonist for Spidey this go round ever since Dylan Baker confirmed that he would be reprising his role as Dr. Curt Connors. However, Comics 2 Film at Mania.com is reporting that the villain (or at least one of) will be Peter Parker's on again, off again lover/nemesis Felicia Hardy aka Catwoman sorry... Black Cat.

According to the site, Rachel McAdams is currently the main contender for the role, with a bevy of other actresses auditioning for it.

They also say that casting is underway for a male villain, leading to speculation of another two bad guy pic. Having just now made peace with the trainwreck that was Spider-Man 3, I'm not sure how I feel about that.

But, for now, these are all rumors. Stay tuned for official announcements on casting from Sony. And, check out Mania.com for the full Black Cat story.
