Local brewers brew specialty beers for the Republican National Convention (RNC).

One ass kicking beer !
Saint Paul/Minneapolis area craft brewers are ready to release several special beers for delegates and other attendees of the Republican National Convention, available in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota area.

Many of the area brewers aren’t ready to show and tell yet, but here’s a preliminary report on what’s waiting for thirsty beer drinkers who’ll be lucky enough to be in the area.

Brewer Jeff Williamson at the Flat Earth Brewing Company  (2035 Benson Ave., St. Paul) has brewed up Convention Ale and tells us, “Convention ale is Belgian-style red ale. We combined a lot of different ingredients to make this beer. Made with American, English and Belgian malts, English and German hops and Belgian yeast. Very refreshing, smooth and easier to swallow then the up coming election cycle and you'll still want more of it later. At 5.5% abv you can enjoy more then one.”   Looking at the logo for the beer it seems as though this is going to be an ass kicking beer ! Looks like there’ll be no shortage of other interesting beers available from Flat Earth available at local bars and restaurants

Meanwhile at Great Water Brewing (Saint Peter St., Saint Paul), brewer Bob DuVemois is making “G.O.P.” It’s a “Golden Oat Pale.” They promise to have a few more beers brewed up for after the convention, appropriate for the run up to the election in November.

Stay tuned for more from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area craft brewers.
