Barbara Walters was an invited guest at Ivanka Trump’s wedding this weekend, and talked about her firsthand experience, calling the extravagant wedding "absolutely gorgeous" on The View today.
Ivanka Trump tied the knot with Jared Kushner, publisher of the New York Observer, on Sunday at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey. “This was an absolutely gorgeous wedding,” Barbara began. She then went on to explain that it was an orthodox Jewish wedding, and that Ivanka went through an 18-month faith conversion process. “Ivanka wore the most beautiful dress by Vera Wang that was reminiscent of Grace Kelly, “ Barbara told her viewers. She also said that Dad Donald Trump walked the bride down the aisle, and that both Ivana and Melania were present and very cordial to each other. Other wedding guests included Rudy Giuliani and Barbara’s date, Bill Geddie, executive producer of “The View.”
Barbara Walters showed the elaborate wedding invitation with wording that was in English on the right side and Aramaic on the left. The wedding prompted a quick “hot topics” discussion. Whoopi Goldberg asked the ladies of The View, “Would convert to a different religion for someone you love?” Joy Behar quipped, “No, I’d never trade a headache for an upset stomach.”
